Sharing information at the right time, with the right people, is key to keeping children and young people safe from harm. All professionals who work with children and families must understand the purpose of information sharing in order to safeguard and promote children’s welfare. Safeguarding partners and relevant agencies must facilitate effective data sharing where this is needed to improve safeguarding arrangements or to enable each organisation to respond quickly to the individual needs of children and young people.
