The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. The GDPR forms part of the data protection regime in the UK, together with the new Data Protection Act 2018.  You can find out more about GDPR here.

Sharing information at the right time, with the right people, is key to keeping children and young people safe from harm. All professionals who work with children and families must understand the purpose of information sharing in order to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.  Safeguarding partners and relevant agencies must facilitate effective data sharing where this is needed to improve safeguarding arrangements or to enable each organisation to respond quickly to the individual needs of children and young people.

We also have a GDPR Privacy Notice which you can read here and a website privacy statement which you can read here.
