In November 2015, Hackney Children and Young People’s Services and the NSPCC, in conjunction with the CHSCB and its partners, launched a campaign appealing to adults in particular to share any concerns they have about the exploitation of Hackney children and young people, specifically around:
– gang involvement or activity
– sexual exploitation or abuse
In early 2016, this campaign was replicated in City of London . Find out more about the City campaign HERE.
Exploitation of our children and young people is a significant risk to their safety and wellbeing, yet indicators suggest it is under-reported in all of the above areas. It is anticipated that working in partnership with the NSPCC will further encourage the public to share information and concerns while providing an alternative route to support than more conventional channels.
